Too busy to type? Send DietPal a voice note. Your coach listens, writes down what you said, and logs it exactly as if you'd typed it.
How to do it
- Record a voice note describing your meal — e.g. "I had a chicken wrap and a handful of crisps."
- Send it to DietPal.
- DietPal transcribes it, looks up the food, and replies with the items, calories and your running total.
You can record in your own language — DietPal understands and replies in the same one. You can also send several voice notes in a row and DietPal joins them into one log.
Tips
- Speak naturally, but include amounts where you can ("about 200 grams of rice").
- Mention oil, butter and sauces — they're easy to forget but they matter.
- If a note didn't come through clearly, DietPal will ask you to repeat it or type it — nothing is logged from a guess.
Voice notes go through the exact same grounded look-up as text, so the numbers come from a verified database, not an estimate. To fix anything, see How do I correct or delete something I logged?
