DietPal is a personal nutrition coach you talk to in your messaging app. There is no separate app to install and no forms to fill in — you send a message, a photo of your meal, or a voice note, and DietPal does the rest.
What DietPal does for you
- Builds you a personal plan. From your age, height, weight, activity level and goal, DietPal works out your daily calorie target and macros (protein, carbs, fat) and a realistic timeline to your goal weight.
- Logs your food the easy way. Send a photo, type what you ate, or record a voice note. DietPal identifies the food and looks up the nutrition for you.
- Tracks your progress. Weight, water, daily calories and a 7-day average — shown back to you as simple charts so you can see the trend, not just one day.
- Remembers you. DietPal keeps your plan and preferences between sessions, so you never have to start over or repeat yourself.
What makes DietPal different
- It coaches, it doesn't shame. DietPal focuses on your weekly trend, not a single over-budget day. Going over once is normal — the average is what moves the needle.
- Its numbers are grounded, not guessed. DietPal never makes up calorie numbers. Every figure is looked up in a verified nutrition database, so what you see is auditable — and you can always correct it. (See Why is my calorie estimate different from what I expected?)
- It speaks your language. Write to DietPal in your own language and it replies in the same one.
Getting started
Start a chat with DietPal and say hello. Your coach will introduce itself, ask a few questions to understand your goal, and build your first plan before you log anything. See Meeting your coach: onboarding & your first plan.
