⚠️ DRAFT — needs legal review + deploy/account flow to confirm before publish: the exact data-export and account-deletion process, retention periods, security specifics (encryption in transit/at rest), and that the wording matches the published Privacy Policy.
How DietPal handles your data + how to delete it
DietPal only keeps what it needs to coach you, and it works for you alone. Here's the plain-words version; the full detail is in our Privacy Policy ({{CONFIRM: link}}).
What DietPal stores
- Your profile (the basics you gave during setup) and your plan.
- Your logs — food, water and weight — and your messages with the coach.
It uses these only to build your plan, track your progress, and remember you between sessions.
What DietPal does not do
- It doesn't sell your data or use your meals for advertising.
- It serves only you. DietPal has no knowledge of any other user, and it will never reveal — or make up — anyone else's plan, weight or details, even if asked.
- {{CONFIRM: security statement — e.g. data encrypted in transit and at rest.}}
Export or delete your data
- Export: {{CONFIRM: how to request a copy of your data.}}
- Delete: {{CONFIRM: how to delete your data / account — self-serve step or contact support.}} Deleting removes your information from DietPal {{CONFIRM: retention/permanence detail}}.
